I have today contacted the Radio Licensing Centre who confirm that any application for a new Amateur Radio Licence submitted after 01-Oct-06 will be issued free of charge (no £15 to pay). This may be good news for new Intermediate licences holders who are about to take their examination. (That’s another pint you owe me!).
